I use miller matic 252 fpr about 6 hours day, 5 days week and has never missed beat for me. The only complaint could think was that sometimes the arc seems to wander more than used to seeing. This could possibly be due problems with the power supply at shop though, the voltage seems wander. (-)-(-)
Been running a couple of these for years now. I haven’t noticed any problems with the arc, check your wiring.
The auto gun feature is great. Just pull trigger with the mig, spool or push/pull gun and ir sets the voltage, wire speed, and the timer.
3 owners of mm251’s #1. speed climbs and as speed climbs arc gets hotter and burns through if continued. Main board problem 975 for repairs local vendor. #2 drive feed fluctuates will not hold inches speed and sometimes no speed also could play with the amps sometimes and get the feed to be normal, then it just quit. Main board repairs 975 local vendor. # 3. also mm251 shop use for tacking, lite use and when found what repair cost was 975 with local vendor got another lincoln welder for the job. These mm251’s have a problem in the main control board especially if I am a local user and by word of mouth com upon 2 others with main control board problems.
