The TIGMATE 150 delivers unbeatable performance: 18 gauge to 3/16 in. stainless, 14 gauge to 3/16 in. aluminum. If you need to weld something thicker then simply turn on the Stick mode and you can easily use 3/32 and 1/8 in. stick electrodes.

Overall the hobart tigmate 150 is a good welder. The arc quality could be a little better, but I wouldn’t use this small factor as a reason not to purchase this welder. The pluses outweigh the negatives on this welding package.
