I agree. The Lincoln Ranger 250 is a good welder. This is my main welder for anything outside of the shop. Only small complaint was the controls took a little while to figure out. Other than that the Ranger 250 GXT is one of the best welders I have used. The arc is incredibly stable, and also very easy to strike.

Overall a good portable welder, bought mine new. BUT, mine had a gas tank leak when it was filled up. A totally unacceptable situation. Leaked all over the back of the truck and onto ground afterward. Will see how the warranty is handled tomorrow when the dealer opens.
1 Issue is that when welding at lower amps - say 50 amps - full ac current from the auxiliary outlet is not available. The fine control for selecting welding amps also determines output current on the auxiliary output. So any welding amp selection which is below 7 on the fine control of the machine will not give you enough auxiliary current for electrical equipment.
Hey guys Ive had my GXT for about 4yrs now and love it. I knew it wasnt an SAE, Pipe Liner or Classic, but I wanted the AC capability. I wish it had a hidden panel like the regular DC 250, with Chopper technology and 6-G postition settings but thats ok too. Let me know if you’ve ever used the CV side of DC for wire applicatins and what kind of feeder and what not was used. Been thinking about a suit case LN-25 ole faithful. I hope to open a small dirt floor shop in my small home town after 20+ yrs as a Journeyman Pipe Hand and Boilers, and everything else that goes along with it. Right after Christmas, a new year and a new start……
I have an older G950 PRO Model 9421 ser.A1160591I twelds really good and though I have kept it around As an all house Generator I need to sell it but can find no info on its value. Any help out there?
