Not too impressed with this one, for the price. It is a very popular welder though, and alot of people are very happy with it. I just think for the $ you should get a little more.
I am pretty happy with my XMT welder. It definately is multi-purpose, you can weld anything with this baby.
this is a very versatile unit which is just as happy in shop as on site. very very well built XMT 304 can really take knocking about.. MMA is very smooth and easy to get started, MIG (with 24A feeder) is also very usable but not very coarse. the pulsing feature for MIG (with optima pulse control) not so usable and is a pain i feel to set up and never got results i really wished for but have used non the less to weld up aluminium roof cladding and flashing.
