I have a lincoln weld pak 180, I have been very happy with it. I would have actually rated the overall rating probably a 9, if it hadn’t been for one thing. I can’t seem to quite get the hang of adjusting the power one this one. It seems like it overshoots what I am aiming for in either direction. Keep in mind, this is not a serious problem at all. More like a minor annoyance. I can always get it adjusted where it needs to be, sometimes just takes two tries. I certainly would purchase the same welder again, even knowing this.
i have a 155 Weld Pak and like it a lot, I weld farm equipment repairs and going from thin to thick stuff isn’t a hassle…Got the stuff to use gas but have been using Blue meanie flux wire with the least amount of splatter…….fluxed wire works in the wind, gas is different as it blows away while welding outside…(Montana Wind!!!!!!!!!)
I have a weldpak 155 for appx 17 years. Item has welded race car roll bars dune buggies kart frames etc and has never let me down. I use gas for the neat looking frame work and flux out in the field for the buggies. Very good control and reliability is great. Alot of people use higher end welders but for the price and if you are a good welder this baby will do the trick just fine!
